A play inside the opponent's group, aiming at the vital point of a shape (eye shape). Most of the time the player avoid touching other stones (or too many) : the liberties force a complicated capture spoiling the shape and may also give momento for other tesuji (that could be gote otherwise). Oki in japanese.
