And why not just add a stone ~N17 to make it more of a tsumego?

caranthir: Trying to fix that by solidifying attacker's shape would enable a number of other solutions and therefore break the problem a bit. Maybe we can regard the defender crawling on the second line (in your variation) for quite a number of moves as a good enough result for the attacker.
