In an actual game, a settled position often doesn't get played out to the capture. The game would continue elsewhere and a ko (or something else) could happen where the earlier position could become an ignored ko threat (opponent gets to play H19 and G19 and captures your stones). In that case, your inside played stone would be lost while the outside played stone looks like a normal endgame move.
