    Tineolla is half right. C4 is as he mentioned definetely wrong, but the defender can play D2 instead and lives. So nevertheless C2 as starting move remaines wrong path.

    Excuse me, i don't understand why black can't kill white after : C2-C3-B1-C4 . Now, black has to fill with D4 or E3 and white can't approach with D2
