My limited expertise leads me to view your idea as part of the "continuation of efforts to escape," which Master Ivan attempted to counter with an additional stone (as noted below). Would responding to your additional push with M19 instead of L18 be a viable way to escape?
Ivan Detkov: The "correct" solution here looks wrong. There is a continuation with efforts to escape and I do not see why these efforts are failing. I believe we need one more stone on the outside to make this problem working.
