caranthir: Continuing with the theme from my answer earlier, I added C7 as an option to the relevant variations (but not any continuations thereon; it might be better to maintain some brevity in this one). ------ The best answer from the opponent to C1 is to play B2, and after A2, on the side with the two stones, C9 for instance. ------ G1 is very slack, but fits the didactic purposes of this problem.
Ivan Detkov: I added C1G1A2. The atari is not a good move. It is just losing a good ko-threat.
caranthir: Do you mean, if we played C1G1D1E2A2, in that sequence the atari is bad? But on the other hand, playing the atari right away is right timing especially if we're going to play A2 thereafter anyway and live locally; that way it's more certainly sente. Katago would atari too (but then actually not play A2 but first press at C7 etc. because the opponent's side is so problematic, but the idea is the same. In actuality, Katago will even sacrifice the B5 & B6 stones). ------ Anyway, thanks for adding the moves. And sorry if I misunderstood your meaning.
