Rene Villarreal: @raytsh, it isn't ko because black can never atari from the outside. Trying it is self-atari. Therefore it isn't a real ko because white can leave it until the end when there are no ko threats and only then remove the stones from the board.
It is the same concept that makes a bent-four in the corner dead.
